The term Psi Bank was introduced by José Argüelles in his book Earth Ascending (1984). According to him, the Psi Bank is the memory field of the Earth itself – a four-dimensional program in which information about life, consciousness and time on the planet is stored and “read” again. You can imagine it as a planetary library or the Akashic records of the Earth.
The Psi Bank is the nervous system of the noosphere – the mental envelope of the Earth, the layer of collective consciousness that surrounds the planet. Through it, according to the Law of Time, the cycles of evolution, the history of civilizations and humanity’s awakening to galactic consciousness are ordered.
The Psi Bank holds everything the Earth has ever experienced – and everything humanity has ever thought and known.
Psi Chrono (from psi – psyche, mind, and chronos – time) is the way the 13 Moon Calendar touches the Psi Bank every day. Every day of the 13 Moon year carries one psi chrono unit – one kin from the Tzolkin that shows which “page” of the planetary memory opens and activates on that day.
How can 364 days carry 260 kins? 208 kins appear once, each on its own day, and 52 kins – the Galactic Activation Portals (GAP) – each hold three days in a row. The Day Out of Time (July 25) carries no psi chrono kin: it is a day outside all counting.
Just as each of us has our own kin in the Tzolkin, each of us also has our own psi chrono unit in the Psi Chrono matrix – the kin carried by our birthday in the 13 Moon year. Every year, when the calendar returns to that day, your unit in the Psi Bank is activated.
The table looks like the Tzolkin: 20 rows of solar seals and 13 columns, 260 squares in all. Each square is one kin – you see its tone at the top of the square and its seal at the start of the row.
The number at the bottom of the square is the date in the 13 Moon Calendar: the first number is the moon, the second is the day. For example, 2.9 means the second moon, ninth day. On that day, every year, the psi chrono unit of that kin is activated.
The green squares are the 52 Galactic Activation Portals. Each holds three moon days in a row – that is why they show the moon and three numbers, for example 1. 1·2·3 (first moon, days 1, 2 and 3).
For the psi chrono unit you only need your day and month of birth – the year plays no role. Everyone born on the same day of the year has the same psi chrono unit. The calculation has two steps.
The year in the 13 Moon Calendar doesn’t begin on January 1, but on July 26, and it has 13 moons of 28 days each. Every date is written as moon.day. You find your date in the Perpetual Calendar below, in four steps:
Example: birthday September 8 → falls in the moon from 23.08. to 19.09. → the number in the circle is 2 → in the square “8/9” the large number is 17 → the date is 2.17.
July 25 is the Day Out of Time – it belongs to no moon and has no psi chrono unit. February 29 (0.0 Hunab Ku) is not counted. If your birthday is February 29: if you were born before 12 noon, use February 28; if after 12 noon, use March 1.
Look in the table for the square with your moon.day number. The seal of your psi chrono unit is at the start of the row containing that square, and the tone is at the top of the square. Seal and tone together give the name and number of the kin.
Example: the date 2.17 is in the square Kin 30 – White Self-Existing Dog. That is the psi chrono unit of everyone born on September 8.
If your moon day is from 1 to 6 or from 23 to 28, look for it in the green squares – the portals. Each carries the moon number and three days in a row. Example: the birthday July 28 is 1.3 (Magnetic Moon, day 3). It is in the green square “1. 1·2·3”, which is Kin 1 – Red Magnetic Dragon.
Both are kins from the Tzolkin, but they are calculated differently and speak about different things.
From your psi chrono unit your psi chrono oracle is born, and from it two days that return every year, always on the same date in the 13 Moon Calendar. These are the days when your connection with the Psi Bank is strongest.
